Research Institute of Beihang University in Qingdao Officially Established

On May 28th, the signing and opening ceremony for The Research Institute of Beihang University in Qingdao was held in Laoshan District, Qingdao. At the ceremony, Beihang University, Qingdao Municipal People's Government, Laoshan District Government and Goertek signed the strategic cooperation and joint construction agreement to sponsor the construction of The Research Institute of Beihang University in Qingdao. Then, The Research Institute of Beihang University in Qingdao and Beihang Virtual Reality State Key Laboratory Qingdao Branch were unveiled. This means that one of the most important Virtual Reality research institutions in China, has now been officially established in Laoshan District, Qingdao.

Secretary of Qingdao Municipal Committee of the CPC - Li Qun and Party Secretary of Beihang University - Zhang Jun announced that the Research Institute of Beihang University in Qingdao officially established. Deputy Secretary of Qingdao Municipal Committee of the CPC, Qingdao Mayor - Zhang Xinqi and President of Beihang University addressed at the ceremony. Qingdao Vice Mayor - Zhang Deping and Vice President of Beihang University - Liu Shuchun signed the "Qingdao Municipal People's Government and Beihang University comprehensive cooperation framework agreement" on behalf of the two parties. On the signing ceremony, Beihang University, Qingdao Laoshan District and Goertek also signed an agreement to build and deepen cooperation, jointly promote the construction of Research Institute of Beihang University in Qingdao. Other people attended the ceremony were: Member, Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal committee of the CPC, vice mayor - Wang Guangzheng, Member, Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal committee of the CPC, Secretary General of Municipal Party Committee - Wang Luming, Member, Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal committee of the CPC, Party Secretary of  Laoshan District Committee of CPC - Qi Jiabin, Beihang Virtual Reality Technology and Systems Laboratory Director - Zhao Qinping, Vice President of Beihang University – Fang Jiancheng, Academician Wang Huaming, Assistant President of Beihang University – Li Junfeng and Zhang Guang, and Chairman of Goertek – Jiang Bin.

After the opening ceremony, the leaders visited the offices of Research Institute of Beihang University in Qingdao, watching the model aircraft show. Then, Qiangdao Mayor - Zhang Xinqi, President of Beihang – Xu Huibin and other leaders attend the "Qingdao • Beihang Sea-Sky and AI for the future" Forum. All the guests conducted in-depth discussions about the future cooperation between Beihang and Qingdao.
