Goertek Serves as Key Contributor as Group Standard for Visual Health of Head-Mounted VR Devices Upgraded to National Standard
Recently, the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) announced the first batch of recommended national standards for 2026 that adopt existing group standards. Among them, the group standard "Visual Health of Display Products—Part 4: Head-Mounted Virtual Reality (VR) Devices" (Project Plan No.: 20260739-T-339), developed under the administration of the China Video Industry Association (CVIA) with participation from Goertek and other industry partners, has been successfully adopted as a national standard. This represents the highest level of recognition for the standard's technical advancement and industry applicability.
Addressing head-mounted VR devices in the context of current industry development, this standard establishes specifications for optical parameters related to visual and physiological health. It aims to guide the innovative R&D and quality control of VR devices, establishing a unified technical framework for the visual health of head-mounted VR equipment in China. The standard can also serve as a valuable reference for head-mounted AR and MR devices.
As one of the key contributing units in developing this standard, Goertek consistently prioritizes technological innovation. We integrated our extensive technical expertise and practical experience in the XR field throughout the entire standardization process.
Looking ahead, Goertek will continue to deepen our commitment to XR technology research and development. By driving progress through a dual focus on technological innovation and standard-setting, we are dedicated to delivering safer and more comfortable immersive experiences for users.
