On September 9, Goeroptics showcased a range of new products spanning XR optics, smart projection, automotive optics, and industrial vision at the 27th China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE).

XR Optics: Parallel Iteration Across Multiple Technology Routes, Achieving Both Lightweight Design and High-Performance Display

As AR glasses accelerate toward a regular eyeglass form factor, Goeroptics is focusing on three key directions: lightweight wearability, imperceptible gratings, and ultra-clear image quality. The company introduced multiple new full-color optical waveguide products, achieving continuous breakthroughs in product capabilities.

  • F20Ge-FL Fully Laminated Etched Full-Color Diffractive Optical Waveguide: Designed for lightweight, imperceptible wear. The fully laminated process eliminates the air gap between the waveguide substrate and the cover plate. The total thickness, including double cover plates, is only 0.65 mm, with a weight of less than 4 g and transmittance in the grating area exceeding 94%.

  • F20Gi Nanoimprint Full-Color Optical Waveguide: Designed for consumer AI glasses. The single piece is 0.5 mm thick and weighs 3.2 g, with indoor rainbow artifacts being nearly invisible.

  • F25Ge-DUV DUV + Etching Full-Color Diffractive Optical Waveguide Module: Focused on high image quality. Its MTF (modulation transfer function, an indicator of image detail reproduction; higher values mean clearer images) is improved by 30% compared with nanoimprint + etching solutions. Supported by China's first 12-inch DUV + etching mass production line, it enables scalable mass production and volume delivery.

  • F25Ge-LT Full-Color Etched Optical Waveguide: Focused on lightweight design. It adopts a new low-density substrate, reducing thickness by 30% and weight by over 50% at maximum, delivering industry-leading lightweight performance among products of the same specification.

  • F50Se Silicon Carbide Full-Color Optical Waveguide Module: Highlighting a large field of view. It enables 50° full-color display and is paired with a newly self-developed 0.75cc LCoS optical engine, achieving eye-entry brightness exceeding 1,500 nits.

In the VR/MR field, Goeroptics is focusing on lightweight design and high-definition display, launching upgraded Pancake modules:

  • C61: Offers a larger field of view than the previous generation, achieving a 120°+ ultra-wide field of view and binocular 8K display, expanding the clear viewing range. Its thickness is reduced to 15.4 mm, over 10% thinner than the previous generation.

  • LE62: Thinner and more compact than the previous generation, with a TTL (total track length, the folded optical path from screen to human eye in VR/MR headsets) of only 12.5 mm—nearly half that of mainstream Pancake solutions. It also optimizes edge dispersion, maintaining consistent image clarity from center to edge, and is suitable for lightweight VR/MR glasses form factors.

Automotive Optics: Industry-First Dual-Mode DLP Projection Headlight Module, Evolving from a Lighting Unit to an Interactive Carrier

Addressing diverse needs such as driving safety, intelligent interaction, and cabin experience, Goeroptics introduced two new intelligent headlight modules:

  • Dual-Mode DLP Projection Headlight Module: An industry-first design with dual light paths. White light illumination and color projection can operate independently, solving the industry challenge of achieving both high brightness and rich color. It combines illumination with interactive functions such as welcome lighting and safety prompts.

  • Micro LED Digital Matrix Headlight Module: Features 25,600 pixels, enabling pixel-level light control. It precisely shields light during oncoming vehicle encounters, with optical distortion controlled within 1.5% and excellent image quality.

In addition, Goeroptics launched a 0.39-inch DLP automotive projection optical engine, using pixel-shifting technology to achieve 4K images and covering scenarios such as cabin entertainment and ground projection prompts.

Smart Projection and Industrial Vision

Goeroptics introduced a 0.47-inch tri-color laser zoom projection optical engine with 3,400 lumens, about 20% higher than the previous generation, delivering clear viewing even during daytime. It also optimizes thermal design to reduce initial focus blur on startup.

In industrial vision, solutions such as 3D profilometer laser modules and high-precision industrial lenses enable micron-level contour inspection, meeting precision inspection needs in industries such as 3C electronics and lithium batteries.
