Goertek Wins Gold at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva
Recently, the online and offline award results of the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva were announced. The "Watch-Style Cuffless Blood Pressure Measurement Device," jointly submitted by Goertek and Southeast University, stood out from over 1,000 inventions worldwide and won a Gold Medal at the exhibition.
Founded in 1973, the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is one of the oldest and largest invention exhibitions in the world, widely recognized as a bellwether in the field of technological innovation.
Goertek's award-winning "Watch-Style Cuffless Blood Pressure Measurement Device" leverages the form factor of a conventional smartwatch. Compared to traditional cuff-based sphygmomanometers, it enables effortless, high-precision blood pressure measurement at home within 30 seconds, significantly improving daily monitoring convenience.
The device establishes the industry's first precision measurement technology system that integrates three types of signals—photoplethysmography (PPG), electrocardiogram (ECG), and phonocardiogram (PCG)—for pulse transit time (PTT) estimation, achieving millisecond-level signal synchronization that outperforms existing dual-channel solutions. Its self-developed bone conduction vibration sensor supports full-bandwidth heart sound acquisition, reliably capturing signals even through everyday clothing. Paired with a proprietary multi-source fusion algorithm and a dedicated model built from extensive real-world population data, the device effectively adapts to individual vascular differences, enabling long-term, accurate blood pressure tracking.
To date, the project has undergone extensive clinical testing in multiple hospitals over three consecutive years. Independent validation results confirm compliance with the ISO 81060-2 international standard for blood pressure measurement, offering a new model for dynamic health management in telemedicine scenarios and facilitating the transition of blood pressure management from clinical settings to home use.
